Home Care

Home care is a personalized support option that gives an individual the opportunity to receive personal one-to-one care by a fully trained caregiver in the comfort of the individual’s own home.  This is non-medical in nature and does not require a physician’s order or the supervision of a nurse.  Individuals who are aging, recovering from a medical impairment, having chronic illness, or disability and are still desiring to remain in their home, will greatly benefit from home care services.

Home care allows you to enjoy a person-centered care plan that ensures you’re getting the exact amount of assistance for one’s needs and wishes.  The flexibility of home care makes it a viable option for various levels of need.  It allows you to get temporary help when returning from a hospital or rehab facility stay or for a few hours a week if you require some support.

Here at ARCA HomeCare, we understand that everyone’s needs are unique.  We believe that the quality of our service is as good as the caregiver providing the service.  It is for this reason that we put importance of finding the best caregivers to help you go through your life-changing situations.

One may consider home care if you’re:

  • Living with a complicated condition.

  • Struggling with daily routines.

  • Needing help with outside home activities.

  • Requiring assistance with mobility.

  • Feeling lonely and depressed.

  • Unwilling to move to outside home placement.

Personal Care

Personal care is a hands-on service that focuses on the assistance and supervision of the activities of daily living (ADL) and personal hygiene.   ADLs are essential routine tasks that most healthy individuals can perform without assistance.

  • For individuals who are no longer able to perform these essential care tasks on their own may consider receiving personal care.   This will help them stay in their own homes and communities rather than live in institutional settings, such as nursing homes.

Personal care is fundamental in maintaining an individual’s health, dignity, and wellbeing.  It is also a fact that most individuals may feel considerably embarrassed or frustrated when having to receive personal care.

At ARCA HomeCare, we train our caregivers to adopt a compassionate and sensitive approach to provide modest one-to-one support in all aspects of their work to make the individual comfortable.  Our trained staff will work with you in the creation of a person-centered care plan to ensure that you’re getting the services you need.   This care plan is reviewed regularly, both at scheduled times and when there is a change in client health condition.

    • Personal care may include:

    • Bathing and Showering

    • Getting Dressed

    • Grooming

    • Toileting and Incontinence

    • Mobility

    • Eating and Meal Preparation

There is no set time or day to provide the support you need.  Some individuals may need a few hours a week while others might need 24-hour care.

Respite Care

Serving as the primary caregiver is both rewarding and exhausting.   Although many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones for them to remain at home, the physical, mental, financial, and emotional demands for the family caregiver can be overwhelming if without any support.

  •  Respite care allows older adults and people with illnesses or disabilities to get the much-needed attention and support while also providing primary caregivers with a much-needed break, or respite.  Such care may even help prevent caregiver burnout.

Respite care may prove beneficial for their health and wellbeing without much financial impact on your budget.  It is a planned short-term and time-limited break for you and your family.   It does not only provide a positive experience for the person receiving care it also helps sustain family caregiver’s health and wellness.  Moreover, avoid or delay out-of-home placements, and reduce the likelihood of abuse and neglect.

Don’t wait for exhaustion to catch up with you before you consider respite care an alternative.

Respite services includes tasks of daily living and provide companionship.  Some of the tasks may include:

    • Feeding

    • Dressing

    • Grooming

    • Bathing
