• The involvement of the client and the care provider in the development of a care plan is essential.  

• Ongoing assessments and evaluations are necessary to adapt to the changing needs of the client, family and or the care provider. 

• Quality assurance monitors and quality improvement initiatives are important in the constant pursuit of improved client care. 

• The client has the right to a dignified death within the environment.
